Getting the engine to start Part 2 - Still does not start

OK so even after correcting the spark plug connection the car does not start. So back to basic for  a car to start it needs.
  1. Spark
  2. Fuel
  3. Air.
  4. Timming
I think the spark is OK but I should check the distributor just in case. My best guess is fuel the car is fitted with a mechanical fuel pump which may need priming or there is a leak etc.
I checked for fuel at the carburetor not a drop . Also spoke with Anton to check if I had missed anything. We agreed next step is to prime the pump.
I also ordered a Carburetor balance tool as I am always optimistic.
